Question:  How can I register for a class?

Answer:  NuWay accepts all major credit cards,
and cash.  In order to register you will need to call
the driving school during business hours or stop by.  We
require a $
75.00 deposit to reserve a seat in our next
session, with the balance being due at the start of that
session.

Question:  How long is the program?

Answer:  The program consist of 30 classroom hours and
6 hours behind the wheel.

Question: How long will it take to complete the entire
program?

Answer: Most students complete the entire 36 hours
program in about
10to12 weeks.  However please keep in
mind that each individual student is different and that it
could take longer than
10 to12 weeks.

Question: How offend is a new class session held?

Answer:  NuWay offers a new class session every two
weeks.  Each new session starts on a Monday.  In the
summer months we will offer a day and an evening
course.  Please call your local branch for detail class
information.  

Question:  Do I need to have a learners permit to start
driver’s education?

Answer:  A learners permit is not required to start driver's
education.  Anyone 15 years of age or older is eligible to
start driver's educations.  Please keep in mind you must be
at least 15 and 9 months before you can obtain a learners
permit from the MVA.

Question:  How much does it cost to get a learners permit?

Answer:  You will need to go to you local MVA, with a
parent or guardian if you are under the age of 18, and take
a visions and knowledge test as well as pay the fee of
$50.00 in order to obtain your Maryland state learners
permit.

Question:  How long is my learners valid?

Answer:  Your learners is valid for 24 months.  You must
hold your learners permit for at least 9 months, complete a 36
hours driver's education program and complete a
minimum of 60 hours in your rookie log book in order to
obtain your provisional license.

Question:  What is a rookie log book?

Answer:  The rookie log book comes from your local

MVA.  A parent, guardian, or mentor who is 21 years of
age or older with a valid driver's licence will need to
document 50 hours of day driving and 10 hours of night
driving within the rookie log book in order for you to
obtain your provisional licence.

Question:  Who has to attend driver's education?

Answer:  The state of Maryland mandates that any person
wishing to obtain a Maryland state driver's license must
attend a 36 hour driver’s education program, regardless
of age.
